And now for another design nerd post.

There’s a lot of time when I’m in need of inspiration on design work. However, it’s often more helpful to see just one specific aspect of design, rather than some finished work someone else has done. For me a really big influencer can be color. Yeah, you can look at a website or poster and pick out the key colors. But sometimes it can really help to start from the very beginning, just 5 or fewer color blocks, that’s it. That’s what I love about adobe’s Kuler (that’s how the cool kids spell it I guess). You can do amazing things with just floods of color, and add user created, community based updating and you have an unending source of color inspiration.
