I had one of those mornings. You know the one, where you can’t just take a picture of it, but it’s peaceful, content, and I thought I’d try and put it down in words and imagery as much as I’m capable of.
I got up at 8am to feed the dogs. Welcomed by two happy dogs and a spring morning streaming through the living room curtains.

Instead of stumbling back to bed in search of a bit more sleep in order to have the energy for the day like usual. I was awake, really awake, and energized by the day itself. I put on the kettle for a mango passion fruit herbal tea.
Went into the back office, opened the curtains to the back yard and watched the dogs poke around as a fat little robin watched them from the fence.
Turned on Radio Paradise, which was playing a nice set of:
- Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter – The Dreaming Dead
- The Byrds – I’ll Feel A Whole Lot Better
- Turin Brakes – Sea Change
Only paying half attention to what I was poking at on the computer I stumbled on a personal blog of Gabriel Morka‘s characters. I think the hippie rabbit probably expresses my current mood the best.
It was one of those mornings, nothing out of the ordinary, but somehow it feels special at the time. I felt like I should have been in a Bob Ross painting and then it would have been truly complete.

Nice getting up early, eh? Worth the initial shock to the system?
