To Underoo-man: Yeah I tried that one, seemed like it was always downloading something new, constant updates, and man, the upkeep, it was killing me. My goal is to slowly move all my systems away from that model until I'm running on nothing but external software, that seems safe right?

By the way, I've heard that when it's in sleep mode it's still running all kinds of processes so over the hardware lifespan it just keeps filling itself up until it finally crashes on ya, just a warning.

I use this really tricked-out application called BRAIN. It stores all the addresses and updating schedules of all my sites. It can even be used to store other data, such as personal stuff like passwords, phone numbers and names of friends. But the coolest part is a nifty feature that allows it to turn on automatically when I wake up!
